Variable Hours (including evenings and weekends)

We are looking for a Disability Coach with a passion and interest in working with children and adults with disabilities to join our team.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering high quality inclusive football and sports sessions with a focus around engaging people with disabilities through existing programmes and new disability projects.

Key responsibilities:
Coach on the Football Ability Counts programme, including evening sessions and attending matches at weekends
To lead the delivery of community sporting activity sessions for people with disabilities, e.g. Day Centre multi-sport sessions
To coach on impairment specific disability programmes, e.g. Blind Football, Cerebral Palsy Football
Support the development of a suitable syllabus for all participants which is relevant to their needs
Ensure that Individual Development Plans and consent forms are in place for all participants where required
To carry out all sessional Risk Assessments and communicate to all support staff
Ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to; including safeguarding, health and safety and equality and diversity
Support the wider work of the Foundation delivering on other sport and coaching programmes
Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which your manager or another senior officer of the Club asks you to perform

Key skills and experience required:
Proven experience in organising, planning and delivering sport coaching sessions in a disability environment
Experience of working with participants with a range of disabilities
Qualified to a minimum NGB Level 2 course (or equivalent)
Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children qualifications
Commitment to ongoing training for personal and professional development
Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate others
Ability to engage with people from all backgrounds
Effective time management
Flexible to work evenings and weekends
