KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Delivery of school sport and community sport coaching sessions as & and when requested
according to an agreed schedule. This may include occasional delivery during evenings and
Administration of all registers for sessions delivered.
Input of all required data for school sport sessions and any other sessions as requested by
the Head of Education.
Delivery of Cambridge United Soccer Schools in school holidays -To meet/exceed the KPI
targets to be agreed with the Head of Education
Promotion of all Cambridge United activities and programmes as appropriate and by
Commitment to ongoing professional development to ensure a high standard of delivery.
Shadowing of school sport, community sport and youth development coaching sessions as
and when requested according to an agreed schedule, to develop your coaching capabilities.
Adherence to national governing body (Football Association) guidelines. This includes
maintenance of FA Licensed Coaches Club membership, which requires valid certificates in
the following: FA qualifications, FA Emergency First Aid, FA disclosure and Barring Service, FA
Safeguarding Children. Trainee Coaches must also complete the requisite continual
professional development with the FA.
Adherence to Cambridge United Community Trust Coaching Code of Conduct with all
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Experience of coaching sport to children.
Experience of School Sport and Physical Education in a primary school setting.
Experience of managing relationships with children and parents. -Experience of safeguarding
requirements when working with children.
Excellent oral communication skills.
Ability to inspire, lead and motivate.
Ability to monitor, evaluate and assess your own performance.
A positive attitude towards professional development and learning.
Enthusiasm and passion for sport.
Enthusiasm and passion for working with children.
Level 2 Football Coach or Level 2 in another sport and Level 1 Football Coach.
A full UK Driving Licence.
Level 3 Certificate in Supporting the Delivery of PE and School Sport.
Coaching qualifications in other sports apart from football.
The people appointed to this post will have contact with children and vulnerable adults, many of
whom are under eleven years of age, and a number of whom may have moderate learning
difficulties and/or disabilities. Therefore, the post holder will require an enhanced Disclosure Barring
