– Job Role: Head of Business Planning and Analytics
To develop and manage the analytical capability and to provide detailed insights into potential new partners, categories and sectors for the Commercial Team.
To develop and manage analytical capability to support the CFC Marketing Team.
To support the Commercial Director and the Commercial Team in the development and presentation of the CFC Strategic Business Plan for all Commercial departments.
To recruit, manage and develop two teams to directly support the CFC Commercial and Marketing teams. This includes;
a) the Senior Partnership Business Manager and a team of Commercial Analysts
b) the Senior Insight Manager and a team of Data, Insight and Digital Analysts
To be responsible for special projects, production of analysis of market sectors and commercial activity for presentation to the CFC Directors.
To lead the development of research and insight tools to ensure accurate data capture which supports existing and new commercial activity.
To support the Marketing Team with data analysis, marketing campaign analysis, regular reporting.
Plan digital analytics strategy and long-term projects, exploring the potential of new analytics tools to increase the club’s insight capabilities.
Support the Marketing and Commercial teams by providing campaign content and broader performance reporting across the website, social media, and the app.
Design and implement automated reports and dashboards, both directly in-house and in liaison with external agencies – working with stakeholders to help facilitate and develop a self-sufficient data-driven culture.
Develop a business-wide understanding of relative performance via competitor benchmarking and industry analysis.
Support the Marketing and Commercial teams by contributing to development and forecasting of KPIs.
Oversee the end-to-end analytics tracking process, in liaison with the Product Development team and external specialists – from the creation of business requirements through to technical documentation, implementation and analysis.
Support the Product Development team by providing insights into user journeys, product performance and effectiveness of key features
Strategically support the partner acquisition process through intelligence-led approach to sourcing and planning new revenue opportunities for CFC commercial.
Building the business cases for potential CFC partners – highlighting the return on investment.
Creation of bespoke and tailored sales materials to effectively progress the deal-making process.
Detailed market landscape reporting on current market trends for CFC Executive Team.
Provide the link between partnership management and partnership sales to ensure that data is effectively communicated to the wider commercial team.
Competitor benchmarking and analysis of wider sponsorship marketplace.
Solid experience managing multiple analytics and digital projects while also developing and leading team members
Demonstrable experience of working with others emphasising collaboration in matrixed organisations. Successfully designing and delivering creative and measurable projects and programmes which bring analytics and operational excellence to the Club
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy coupled with IT literacy and the ability to gather both quantitative and qualitative data and analyse and interpret it and communicate conclusions and recommendations in a clear and compelling way
Demonstrate a confident and persuasive communication style (verbal and written) which adapts to the audience and can present and communicate complex information in a simple and compelling way
Has the ability to propose, justify, initiate and implement change and problem solving
Demonstrable ability to build relationships, negotiate, facilitate and manage conflict resolution
Assertive, self-starter who works effectively and efficiently whilst demonstrating resilience and responsiveness to issues in a rapidly changing environment.
Excellent team working skills which embody pro-activity, enthusiasm and a hands on approach
Appreciation and experience of working with sensitive and confidential information
Ability to develop new and creative procurement routes.
