Job Title: Head of Partnership Management
Reporting to: Commercial Director

Job Function: Accountable for the effective management of all Club Partnerships and other commercial relationships; delivering industry-leading servicing, maintaining excellent relationships and delivering against business objectives, ensuring proactive and positive partnerships.

Main Responsibilities:

Lead the Partnerships team in London to ensure the club maintains a world class account management function; ensuring all contractual rights are delivered in a timely manner and to the highest standard as well as developing positive relationships with respective partner contacts at all levels.
Lead development of individuals within the Partnerships team to encourage an entrepreneurial approach when constructing creative global activation plans to meet strategic goals and to ensure the club maintains a world class account management function. Includes agreeing individual KPIs for each Senior Partnership Manager and other direct reports.
Maintain a relentless focus on partner return on investment (ROI) in line with their business objectives and partnership KPIs to deliver partner renewals and create best-in-class case studies for use in new business pitches.
Work with Club’s Head of Partnership Management, Asian Office to ensure consistency of partner management across all territories.
Work with the club’s marketing department and business planning/insights team to implement processes which allow for effective delivery of partner rights and campaigns, industry-leading tracking of partner ROI and build best-in-class case studies for use across the partnership team and sales team.
Work with and maintain positive and productive relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure club partners are viewed as an absolute priority within the organisation, ensuring the successful and effective integration of club partners throughout the business to deliver value both to partners and to the respective business areas.
Work with the Commercial Manager Football on the management of all commercial usage of 1st team squad and manager, liaising across other commercial business areas to ensure value of player usage is maximised and prioritise.
Work with the Club’s legal team to ensure all contractual obligations are adhered to, as well as understanding any factors which might impact on partner relationships or wider commercial opportunities.
Senior level contribution to the wider commercial division (led by the Commercial Director) to implement strategy for new partnership sales and other commercial opportunities. Includes participation in and positive contribution to sales meetings when required.
Senior level contribution (and leading where required) on a number of wider commercial projects including pre-season tours, image rights sales and digital media commercial strategy.
Lead the club’s commercial relationship with the English Premier League.
Lead meetings with internal stakeholders, Club Partners, their agencies and other external parties.
Establish and maintain a strong network throughout the wider sports industry, particularly amongst brands, agencies and other rights holders.
Measures of Performance:

Delivers against business objectives and KPIs (to be mutually agreed with Commercial Director (including partner renewals).
Manages effectively the London Partnerships team, ensuring development within their roles where relevant.
Develops and maintains a positive and proactive relationship with all partners at all levels.
Develops and maintains first class relationships with internal stakeholders.
Partner activation plans and contracted rights are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
Understands the Club’s commercial and marketing strategies and objectives.
Develop and lead a culture which ensures Club Partners are able to network amongst themselves and work effectively with other members of the Partnership team when opportunities arise for collaboration between club Partners.
