A new opportunity has arisen to join the Superstadium Management Company Ltd and Hull City’s groundstaff team on a casual basis. The successful applicants(s) will be expected to assist in the maintenance of the playing surfaces at the KCOM Stadium and our training ground in Cottingham to the highest professional standard so previous relevant experience would be beneficial.

Applicants should be flexible and available to work various shift patterns, including evenings and weekends depending upon the fixture schedule of the First Team. Candidates should also be comfortable using powered tools such as stump-grinders, winches, chainsaws, mowers, strimmers and hedge-cutters; a full Health & Safety induction will be provided.

Roles & Responsibilities

Undertake the preparation and maintenance of the sports pitches at the Stadium/Training facility to ensure that the pitches are of a high standard and are safe for use for training and the playing of matches.
Undertake the marking out of pitch prior to all Hull City and Hull FC fixtures.
Post-match remediation of all pitches at the training facility.
Be responsible for the maintenance of the ground/s at the venue to ensure that they are kept in a tidy and safe condition.
Be responsible for operating all machinery used on site in a safe manner and in strict compliance with prevailing Health & Safety legislation.
Be responsible for the day to day maintenance of all machinery used at the site and to ensure that the appropriate daily records relating to the pre-operations checks and the use of that machinery are completed and maintained for inspection by the relevant authorities.
Demonstrate self-motivation, organisation, planning, prioritisation and good time management.
Be able to work independently or as part of a team.
Will be a frequent user of driven vehicles such as tractors and ride-on mowers.
Will be a frequent user of hand-tools such as spades, forks, trowels, rakes, hoes, shears and secateurs.
