Hours of work: 37 ½ hrs per week – 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday (1hr unpaid break each day) and Match Days

Reporting to: Head of Content
Job purpose
• To develop and deliver a social media plan to meet Reading FC’s fan and revenue growth targets and which promotes the club’s profile locally and nationally.
• To Produce and promote content (written and video) that drives increased levels of brand awareness and engagement on social media and subsequent conversion onto the Club’s website on Match Days and non-Match Days.
• To ensure the social media plan is developed and delivered in line with the department’s CRM & Marketing Communications Strategy and Objectives

To oversee @ReadingFC social media accounts with focus on growing Reading FC’s online audience, fan engagement levels and subsequent conversion onto the Club’s website.
To develop and implement a weekly / monthly / quarterly social media plan for Match Days and non-Match Days.
To plan, produce and manage short and long-term social media content (written and video)
To be responsible for the day to day planning and execution of paid social media programmes that allow Reading FC to attract new and existing fans to match tickets,
retail and hospitality products.
To be responsible for the management and delivery of periodic social media influencer programmes that allow Reading FC to open new markets and engage new audiences on our channels.
To attend and cover Men’s first team and non-first team fixtures as required.
To have day to day liaison with Supporter Services team to plan and effectively communicate and promote Reading FC’s family-inclusive vision and match day offering.
To track and analyse social media metrics (awareness and engagement) producing regular impact reports for Head of Content and Head of CRM & Marcomms.
To integrate and activate Community Trust, Reading FC Women, Academy and
Sponsor-associated content and messaging into social media plans.
To ensure all messaging, creative assets and content released on social media are brand compliant and consistent with the Club’s brand guidelines.
To actively participate in generating and delivering new ideas to drive fan engagement through digital channels and match day activations.
To manage relationships with external video production and graphics platform
suppliers, ensuring output of all work commissioned by Reading FC is delivered on time,
budget and to expected quality.
To act as social media subject matter expert – understanding latest market trends and social media best practice, and working with the wider team to optimize all promotional activity to achieve revenue objectives.
To support the Head of Content on wider content development and content scheduling activities.
To keep Head of Content updated on all workstreams, highlighting successes and upraising any issues on an ongoing basis.
To support the Head of CRM & Marcomms in the roll-out of strategic marketing
To adhere to a strict code of confidentiality in respect of any information relating to Reading Football Club and its operation
To be presentable at all times when working and demonstrate that you can represent the face of the club in the manner expected
To maintain Reading Football Club’s Safeguarding (Child Protection), Health, Safety and Equal Opportunity procedures and practice
To act in a manner that supports the Club’s Vision and Values at all times
