Saints Foundation is an independent charity aligned to Southampton Football Club. Harnessing the passion of the Club and its fans we aim to inspire, support and deliver positive change and equality of opportunity for young people and adults at risk across Southampton and surrounding areas.

What is the role? 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Sports Coach to come on board and join the Saints Foundation. This role will focus on delivering Football and Sport Development across the community to young children and adults.

What are we looking for? 

The ideal candidate will be able to deliver exciting and engaging sessions that run alongside the curriculums and programs provided. We are looking for an organised individual who can keep track of each session and report back to the project lead when needed. Ideally this person needs to have previous experience working with a variety of age groups particularly young children. This person needs to have excellent communication skills; liaising with parents, teachers and players in a professional and polite manner. We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude and a confident personality with the ability to overcome challenges.

The competencies which are required include:

Essential Experience: 

Experience of coaching sport to children, young people & adults.
Experience of managing relationships with children and parents.
Desirable Experience:

Experience of working with a variety of age groups.
Experience of working within the sports or charity industry.
Knowledge of Saints Foundation and Premier League funded projects.
Essential Qualifications (including certifications):

Minimum FA Level 2 coaching qualification.
In date FA Safeguarding &FA Emergency First Aid qualifications.
Desirable Qualifications (including certifications):

UEFA B License
Multi -Skills Level 2
AFPE Level 3
Other NGB qualifications
Essential Skills:

Good communication and organisation skills.
Confident and outgoing personality
Positive Attitude
Desirable Skills:

The ability to adapt sessions to meet the needs of the group.
The ability to identify potential challenging situations.
