– Job Role: Assistant Lead Youth Development Coach
West Bromwich Albion FC is looking to appoint a Youth Development Coach for the U12-U16 Youth Development Phase. The role requires an experienced coach to assist the Lead Youth Development Phase coach with a particular focus on leading and managing the U12-U14 age groups. This would include the management of their school release programmes in conjunction with the Head of Education and the Lead Youth Development Phase Coach. The role requires an individual who is able to absorb our Coaching and Match Day Philosophy as well as our Coaching Curriculum and deliver this effectively to the players and staff alike. It is preferred but not essential that the individual has
experience of working with players at this age range.
The role will be based at our Academy Facility at Halfords Lane, West Bromwich. The successful applicant is expected to be computer literate and will also be expected to manage and provide information for the Performance Management Application and to maintain and update the Players Performance Clock. A thorough understanding of the requirements of the EPPP for this phase is essential.
You will also be expected to provide support and assistance when necessary to other departments in the Academy, being part of an integrated Multi-Disciplinary environment is essential to our culture. A key requirement to the role is having a dedicated and flexible approach.
The successful candidate will be expected to devote themselves to their continuous professional development which will be delivered internally and also provided externally by the FA, Premier League and other relevant training bodies.
Perspective Candidates will hold an UEFA A Coaching Licence (or working towards completion), an F.A. Youth Award as well as working towards the FA Youth Advanced Award and have experience of working with elite players preferably within this age range.
Applicants will be subject to meeting all requirements of our Children’s Safeguarding Policy and a DBS Check. They must also hold a valid driving licence.

UEFA A Licence (or working towards completing in next 6 months)
FA Youth Award
Experience of working with Elite Players
Valid Driving Licence
Excellent Communication, Organisation and Management skills.
